I don't like the look of Bent to be honest. He seems gangly and awkward and we should aim for better players, even if it means splashing £ 25 million on Villa or Eto'o. These players win you championships, Darren Bent is more suited to the Nationwide League than the premiership.

I think Bent's record in the Prem is a goal every other game - not bad.

Bent is a good player and finisher but not as proven as Eto'o or Villa. No one knows how good he will be or if he will deliver the goals for us but Eto'o or Villa guarantee you goals, that is the difference and it's also why Villa or Eto'o would cost at least 100% more than Bent.

Bent, Alves and Ribery would probably cost the same as one of Eto'o or Villa.

I'd be happy with Bent for 10m. With Bellamy, Kuyt and Crouch that is strong attacking options. I'd rather spend the bulk of the transfer budget on creative midfield/wide players i.e alves, simao, tevez etc etc

The PL is also not as physical as it has been and that makes it easier for foreign players to adapt.

If a player have a good enough first touch and is quick enough then he won't have any problems to adapt to the PL. Villa is quick and skillful enough for the PL.

Nando for example wasn't quick enough and that was the main reason to why he didn't deliver for us.

My point still stands. And as mentioned 40m is not bottomless. Rafa will buy the players he thinks he needs.

He will not splurge it all on one class player.
