I dont know about Bent but i do know that one of the things that has pissed Rafa off is how bad Parry is when it comes to completing transfers. They always seem to drag on and on.

We had a chance to sign Walcott for around £3.5 million but Parry thought it too expensive so the transfer wasnt sanctioned, we all know how much he ended up going for.

Aguero is another one who Rafa was interested in but deemed too expensive.

This is one of the things i think Gillett and Hicks will do. They will allow us to compete for the top youngsters coming through as well as maybe picking up a veteran to help the team along. Henry anyone.

at this moment i think the best value we could get would be tevez.

We all say we need a goal scorer. Tevez has one from open play. Yes he probably would play better with us and yes he is starting to settle in the prem. And I also think he will be a class player. But I dont see him scoring 20 + goals if we sign him.

I'd love a superstar, but Bent is proven in the prem, he can head and shoot withe either foot and works hard too. Not a bad option. He'd have a better chance of settling than a foriegner and at least we wouldn't have to put up with "I miss the sunshine", "I hate the English food", "The premiership is too rough" and constant links to Real or Barca cos theyre getting homesick.

At least we have options in the transfer market.
