My comments about Rod Liddle are not necessarily based on the article or comments on this thread. I've read other non-football related articles he has written and seen a couple of his TV shows and I still think he is a ****.

He was responsible for bringing Gilligan in to work on the Today programme, whose sloppy journalism led to the David Kelly crisis.

Actually, the subsequent enquiry proved that Gilligan and the BBC were right, and that the Blair junta had attacked them vicously with no foundation, and the governors at the BBC caved in like the weak-kneed knobs they were. Giilliganm is a good journalist who knows his stuff. Liddle is a ****.
