Yes but that's possibly because he's ony played under Arsey Whinger in England. With Rafa, he'd just be another cog in Rafa's crushing machine. A quick explanation from Rafa on the walk-the-ball-in thingy, and a couple of ****tings from Bellamy with a 9-iron would soon sort that out......

No quotes whatsoever from either Real, Raul or LFC but I thought I'd post it anyway..

Liverpool are ready to move for Real Madrid captain Raul.
The News of the World says Rafael Benitez has been tipped off Real's skipper will be sold at a cut-price £5million at the end of the season.

And the Kop boss is in pole position to snap up the striker, who has been revered by Bernabeu fans for the last seven years.

A Madrid source revealed: "Real president Ramon Calderon is starting to think it is time to overhaul the squad and bring in younger and fresher players."

Raul's agent, Gines Carvajal, declared: "If he leaves Real his destination would be easy to choose. It would be England."

I wonder what the response would have been on here to us getting Zola when Chelsea did. I am sure it would have been very similar to what people are saying about Raul. Too old, Too slow not physical enough.

And we all know what impact he had on the league.

Seven my arse, twelve more like he was banging them in at 17.

I would have him here if he is cheap and has some coaching ability, but like some other top strikers he hasn't got the pace to be a leading player and has dropped more into midfield and has played a few good games there but still not quite what we need.

                  Interesting stuff.

It would be a hell of a gamble, but I would be lying if I said the thought of Raul walking out in a Liverpool shirt on a big European night didn't excite me.

                    He would probably replace Garcia.

We will have better wingers next season and that means that Rafa can sign up an attacking midfielder that will only play in that position, like Raul or Deco for example.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Why would anyone want a washed up old has been, to replace Garcia?

                        They're both 29.

                        I'd strongly consider that swop.

Not really. Too many changes for Sevilla - no cohesion at all.

cheers, seems when it suits him, he can also go missing a lot, thankfully it isn't putting his price up too much recently!
