They play in the same part of the pitch, in a very simular role, despite different attributes.
And IMO Tevez is far better.

Tevez is better than Rooney IMO.

He works his socks off, has excellent skill, scores goals and is very tough.

If Rafa have a chance to sign him for £10m-£15m then that would be a steal.

No way is Tevez better than Rooney. He may be at some stage, But rght now Rooney is a better player

Tevez would not be instead of Etoo / Villa / Bent etc. because he is not the prolific scorer that we need. He would be an extra signing and would be used in a similar way to Garcia and Kuyt.

Personally I would love to have him. He would be fantastic for us. If we wanted him I'm sure he'd join us over the other big clubs in Europe if only because of the Masher factor.

I'm a bit worried about the new american owners giving rafa the money for transfers in a treasure chest. I know the Anfield trophy room is huge but one can't help wondering wether or not a bank transfer would have been a little bit safer.

i disagree i find them more a like than not. they both work their ass of, go deep into midfield to get the ball. both look more than a second striker, ones who create goals. have seen enough of tevez to know he can play anywhere in attack, weather it's up front on his own, link up, attacking midfielder, he could aslo play on the right. i've seen enough of tevez in recent years to say that he's much better than kuyt.

tevez would better be suited with some of our other striker upfront, he's got a great eye for through balls and could open up defences for bells to run in. i'd also like to see him with crouch they would brobably link up well...

I think Kuyt should and will be playing on the top more often then not next season. He´s not good enough on the ball to play second striker IMHO.

I think that'll be difficult if we buy a true finisher such as Eto'o.

I would see Tevez playing in off the left in in SG'd central attacking role if we bought him and got rid of GArcia.

I think Kuyts best position is on the top. If we get someone like Eto who is clearly better he will simply be off.
For me Gerrard, Garcia and Tevez are all far better second striker then Kuyt.
