We can't go higher than 61,000 without applying for new planning permision which would take another 2/3 years with the possibilty of it failing. So i am prity sure we won't be doing that.Originally posted by einar View PostHas 60.000 been confirmed?

Would yer tather it be like it was, but with no expansion? Or you would rather it built with expansion NOW and we can utilise the new stadium in 3 years, or go back for planning permission and take another 3 years before we can start building it?Originally posted by Kopite_Colin View PostBehave yourself sunshine. It's been my club since before you were a twinkle. But the plan to build such a limited capcity is crap.
THis way we get the 80k or whatever we need in the same time frame as building 80k from scratch but have a 61k stadium in the meantime
I know which I would do....You walk down road.
Right side, ok. Left side ok. Through middle. Squish, just like grape.
Same with Karate.
Either you karate do yes, or karate do no. Karate do think so, squish. just like grape.

How does that matter ffs!?!Originally posted by Kopite_Colin View PostBehave yourself sunshine. It's been my club since before you were a twinkle. But the plan to build such a limited capcity is crap.
I am happy that the stadium will be 61,000 then we will apply to expand rather than srapping the plans now and starting again because we can't possibly keep losing out on the amount of money that Arsenal and Man U make on home games. It will also make sure that we sell out 61,000 regulary and not just on big match days.

The way that T@G have been talking I think that when the designs are released we will see it outlined for the current limit of 61000 with the single teir Kop and two tiers for the other 3 stands. At the same time releasing the design with the other 3 stands with an extra tier.
The way they were on about building the best stadium ever and Man Utd having to add bits onto their ground. It makes me think it will be released as a 2 phase build.

I don't think you've got anything to worry about. From what I can see its the roof that's caused all the aggro. It's "one piece" design suspended from 4 columns. I believe it is this aspect of the design that has rendered the stadium "unexpandable". I'm pretty sur that roof will be going.Originally posted by Eth View PostI don't like the roof of the current plans at all so I hope that aspect changes
It seems pretty likely now, given the news on the Kop's new capacity, that the attendance is going to go up from 61,000. I believe G&H have played hardball and the Council's hade little alternative but to bow to their demands. I reckon we're gonna end up with a stadium of around 70,000 with an option to expand. I think the "poor infrastructure" around Anfield is a bit of a myth. What big stadium isn't a logistical nightmare getting in and out of?I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.
