From what I have read in the echo and other places they are now talking about completion being early 2010 not for the 2009/2010 season as said earlier this year.Originally posted by Morphorino View Postno one has changed the date of completion, was always (and at the moment is) going to be ready for 09/10 season
Correct me if I am wrong.

Depends when they actually start. Standard construction time for a modern football stadium is 30 months so if they don't start the work until late summer then it will be early 2010 before completion. The original 'first spade in the ground' should have been in February this year hence the proposed completion date of August 2009 for the '09-'10 season...Originally posted by sonsofthedesert View PostFrom what I have read in the echo and other places they are now talking about completion being early 2010 not for the 2009/2010 season as said earlier this year.

I doubt it. I think if we start it in late Summer 2007 it might be ready by early Spring 2010 but we won't use it until season 2010-2011.Originally posted by Momosexual View Postso does that mean there will be a chance of it being moved into halfway through a season?

They've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!

Dunk's latest;
"What do you think of:
61,000 stadium initially
18,000 Kop
77,000 when expanded"
"I'm also led to believe that they want to build a line and station just for the new stadium and that the new owners have offered to meet 100% of the costs in doing so."I like young women cos there stories are shorter!

You're basing your comments on true insider info.Originally posted by Kopite_Colin View PostIf that's the truth then that's sh*te imho. Needs to be at least 70-75,000 NOW with room to expand to 80-90,000 in the future. If we have to move let's move and build what we NEED not what some soft sh*te's going to ALLOW us to build.

The 60,000 now going up to 75000odd is old news.Originally posted by Kopite_Colin View PostIf that's the truth then that's sh*te imho. I suspect it can't be more than 60,000-ish until the infrastructure has improved. Christ, it's packed on the roads around the stadium and getting in and out of Liverpool now with 45,000!Quote of the year :

F*ck the infrastructure. If that's the stumbling block, let's just build it somewhere else. If we've got to move, we've got to move - doesn't matter if its 500 yards or 5000 yards. Re-building in Anfield doesn't make any sense in this day and age anyway. Not when weve got such good access to the motorways just a few yards down the road.
