Thanjk you.

I hate to say it but they look very very good tonight. If we are to face them in the final I just hope they get a few injuries and tired legs before then
Let's keep a sense of proportion. Roma were laughably bad. Scum were outplayed, outfought and deservedly beaten by Portsmouth only a few days ago. I'd rather play them than Bayern or Milan

On paper i'd take Milan out of that three easily.

Don't take life too seriously or you'll never get out alive.

I wish i could see things rationally like you - but when we play utd things don't happen in a normal way, i was 5 years old when Macari's sliced shot came off Phil Neals backside to land them a flukey undeserved FA cup final victory over us, Carra scored TWO own goals against them in ONE match - why not against frigging Charlton why against that lot?, Glenn Hysen conceded a ****ing stupid penalty to them by literally lashing his hands at the ball in the penalty area in a stupid obvious stupid idiotic way - why didn't he save it for a game against bleedin' Coventry?, Ronnie Whelan scored a class own goal for them - the sort of class own goal that can only happen against them - beautifully lifted over Grobbelaar (I think), they've destroyed the reputations and confidence of some of our recent goalkeepers. Who can forget those late late undeserved 'winners'? C'mon Munich.

You missed out Dudek's and James's howlers. How we owe them one.
Their finishing was class, but the defending was shocking. All three of the first goals were down to woeful defending and their inability to get bodies in front of the telling ball, when they should have done. Credit to them for 7, that doesnt happen by accident, by they were lucky to get those three early ones.

Ronnie Whelan's chip over Grobbelaar at Old Trafford
Still we did win that game 2-1 I think.
I do fear a potential final against them. The ****ers would spoil the whole thing, the excitement of the build-up, the tension of being in Athens with their fans, possible running battles between supporters. Would be completely differerent atmosphere to Istanbul. As for the actual game, that flukey last minute O'Shea winner just makes me think it's our turn to do them, if we do meet.
Which ever way you look at it , Utd were brilliant tonight. Roma were simply outclassed and overwhelmed by Utd's pace & movement.
All that will count for nothing though if we meet in the final. you don't win the CL by hammering roma in the QF, impressive as it was. if we meet in the final, it'll be a different ball game. Lets face facts in a one off game we can beat them just as they can beat us. In fact I'd make us slight favourites if the league goes down to the wire with Chelsea. Games have a habit of catching up with you late on in the season, thats why the league/CL double is so very rarely done.
what we want now is both Chelsea & Man U to make the Cup final & the league to go down to the last game of the season. They'll be knocking 7 bells out of each other whilst Rafa rests & rotates as he wishes. we'll arrive at the semi fresh as daisies, chelsea won't. doesn't mean we will beat them, but it won't do our chances any harm either. Ditto Utd in the final if we meet.
