One day when me and Mex were talking to Benny this huge *****r appeared, a bit gommy, yer know and kept grinning at Benny and saying she was waiting for her boyfriend or someone. Very funny although Benny didn't seem to think so

Benny probably makes her feel special , he was just pretending he didn't know her.

It was a fair point from The Glove, although I do think, as well as it being down to money, it's also partly down to all seater stadiums.

In the old days, everyone piled in with their mates and all stood together. Hence everyone has a sing-song and the atmosphere's great. These days, if groups of mates are lucky enough to be going to the game together, it's unlikely they'll all be sitting together. They're all dotted around the ground, and it's for that reason that introducing "singing seats" isn't a daft a proposal as it might sound.

Shaggy - As good as the idea of singing seats sound, It'll start off great, then more people will want to get in them and the demand will force out the people that made them.

prices will change when we go to the new stadium - we will bring in a more staggered structure to the prices, so the better seats cost more. it is difficult to do this now because most of the best seats are in the hands of STs who wouldn't/shouldn't be asked to pay more for the same seat. part of the price hike introduced by arsenal at the new stadium has been to introduce more "premium" tickets. this did upset many ST holders who wanted an equivalent seat to the one they had in highbury, but were told their ST would be 2 or 3 times more expensive if they did so. nothing will happen while we remain at Anfield.

I think the club the club should be applauded for it's current pricing structure. already too many lads are priced out of the game. many of my mates (who previously hadn't missed matches in 10 years), now pick and choose games because they can no longer afford to go when we play twice a week. the club should never forget about or leave behind the fans who helped build the club into what it is and what it stands for today. the club should always be affordable to the locals. from what I can tell on here, the only people advocating the price hike are people who clearly live hundreds of miles away and an extra fiver is nothing in the total cost of the match. when you have no spare cash five pounds makes a massive difference. if you feel so strongly about it, just send an fiver to the club saying i think my ticket is a fiver too cheap, so here's a fiver towards the transfer fund.

We're obviously a few million short so i would support a price hike - though i can understand were you are coming from.

Every match i go to usually costs me around a couple of hundred - the ticket is the cheapest thing of the weekend for me.

same here, although my costs aren't as high as yours. Ticket is defo the cheapest thing but coming up from London, esp if we stay overnight really does rack up the costs.

If you were going every week then the price of the ticket would matter more tho.

If i was going every week you'd be talking £4k a year not accounting for lost work days. A 1k season ticket would even pale in comparison.

If i moved closer to Liverpool (and i may well later in life) then i wouldn't mind ticket prices so much. However you, and the other raised an important point re groups and families. Deffo only gonna have the one kid now. Thanks.

I've managed to get costs down a fair bit now

I take the national express up and come back on it overnight which means I only pay about £10-20 plus whatever for tix

I used to stay over somewhere in town which was too pricey, or stayed with rellies which was a pain in the arse because they live all the way down in Speke. Now I just sleep on the coach coming back and log onto the forum at some obscene hour
