Despite what I've said above, which I stand by, I am extremely more moderate about the whole Cyprus thing than a lot of my mates and compatriots. And I will accept no one begrudging my feelings given where my mum is from and what's happened to her ancestral home since Turkish occupation.

Following Shaggy's suggestion I am happy to take this up in the Library - no vitriol, no hyperbole, just reasoned debate.

Hi Mate.

My dad is from Nicosia, my mum is from Dhavlos (hence my username obviously) in the now Turkish occupied areas. It was a very beautiful place, about 35 years ago. Our house is in Choirokitia.

A lot of my family was relocated to your dad's neck of the woods after the invasion.
