It's so predictable when we don't play well, there's going to be a Gerrard thread. Yeah he's had a poor season by his standards after playing out of his skin for about 6 years straight. Quite a few drama queens on here

I think next season with a full rest behind him and decent pace up front i.e. someone who can play off the defender's shoulder we will see Stevie back to his best. Kuyt will play the role Stevie did today I'm guessing or there will be no room for him as a starter give he certainly can't spearhead our attack with his tendencies to drop so deep.

At the end of the day sadly top 4 is all we have left to play for in league so I'd rather our players don't dive into tackles and get injured before the Chav games.

IMHO Kuyt is nowhere near good enough to play that role for us.

I don't know what's happening with Gerrard, but he really is playing ****e lately! He's not going for the second ball anymore, he doesn't want to go in to tackle like he used to and he doesn't pass the balls like he used to.

He's lookin soooooo disinterested it's ****ing hard to watch him! He isn't of any help in the team and I think Rafa should drop him for a game or two.

I think the best Gerrard was when he played in the middle, had his short haircut (like a skinhead) and was angry and powerful! Nowadays, he just looks like a second class footballer...

Don't get me wrong, I love the man and if there is one player who I wouldn't sell (well, beside Carra), it's him... But ffs Stevie, get your balls back and start wreacking havoc!

Kuyt is a fantastic striker, but he can't do **** if Rafa tells him to play in the middle! I was sooo pissed off today because we played without a striker throughout (almost) the whole match! No one was upfront, everyone were in the middle, including Kuyt. And if Kuyt was upfront, he received the ball, ran back and pass it to either Gerrard, Mascherano or Alonso.

That's why I think we always (!!!) need to play with two strikers (or a lone striker aka Crouchie). Always!

Before the match when you see that Rafa will use Kuyt (or Bellamy) in formation 4-5-1, you know we'll be playing 4-6-0. And we're never gonna win the Premiership if we play like that.

Has it dawned on you what with Momo, Masher and Alonso that Rafa might have given Gerrard licence to push forward and leave the tackling back and closing down to the central midfielders?

Half the season has been poor from him in fairness, I put it down to tiredness early on, being played out of position could be part of it because when we were firing earlier on this season he was alongside Alonso.
However it concerns me because he was the main reason we won the CL in 05 with big goals in big games he's not done much of that this season and without him driving the team we lack any real threat.

Whatever mate... He is beeing paid more than 100k pounds per week. For that amount of money, I want to see the aggression, I want to see power, I want to see interest in the game.

For his playing this season, he doesn't deserve half of his current wages!

And this is not coming out of the blue, it has been coming up throughout the whole season and it finally errupted - he really needs to start delivering, because this is the most important time for us this season!
