i think you have that spot on brother particularly in relation to SG. his "drive, determination and influence" have been fairly minimal this season in reality though. when he's not doin something spectacular he's doing **** all...

1. Gerrard. We know what happens when he isn't at the top of his game.
2. Carragher. Solid in defence and commands the area.
3. Reina. Starts attacks and is top class in goal. The most unforgiving position on the pitch, no second chances there.
4. Crouch. Not a huge fan of his but he's the only one who looks like scoring at the moment so we are relying on him to carry this on.
5. Alonso. Sees a huge amount of the ball and needs to be at the top of his game when we play the top sides.

In no particular order, but they are 5 players i'd hate to see left out of a really important match - Mascherano might also be making his way into that list, but can't put him there based on about 4/5 performances.

That still tells me our wingers full backs and stirkers are nothing special
