Arbeloa will deffo play Left back on wed we have no other option, Riise there would be suicide.

      Reina
      Finnan
      Agger
      Carra
      Arbeloa
      Xabi
      Mascher
      Gerard
      Riise
      Kuyt
      Crouch

Bellamy on last 20 for the pace, Though all the pissing about with Stevie as a support striker must have been practising for something, so maybe Pennant will play with Stevie behind Kuyt/Crouch.
We always have these threads and we can never second guess Rafa......

Yeah we will need his energy and hustle out there. Despite his deficiencies in the passing arts..he is a magnificent midfield destroyer.

I cant wait for this game...its going to be huge!!

I would play Arbeloa and Riise on the left.

its hard to pick a hwole team though....on one hand we want Gerrard in the middle....but then were does that leave Momo and Xabi? Also Pennant deserves a gig at RW....he has been one of our better players the last few games and deserves a shot.

Crouch or Kuyt?? tough decision that one. I would probably lean towards Kuyt and Bellamy at this stage

i reckon we could see kewell on the left, possibly on the bench. if he's 'olympic' fit and no doubt up for it, imagine if we had the kewell we thought we bought on wednesday night

Did we nearly buy another Kewell on wednesday?

                reina finnan carra agger arbeloa
                sissoko
                gerrard alonso mascherano riise
                kuyt

That is what i think is the way to go. It might be a bit defensive but I would take a 0 0 draw and put the ****s up them at anfield again

Yep, for possibilities. He may start, but the fact Rafa has that possibility is surely what he wanted.

Anyone think that Rafa is preparing against the chavs for quick counter attacking this time around?.
The last time, Maureen went into the game very cautious, and this has been rubbed in his nose a bit since then. Stevie coming out and talking them down, Rafa having a couple of digs at Maureen, in the last game we went in with the same attitude as the chavs and it ended 0-0 as we all know, im expecting them to come at us harder this time and I think Rafa will too, especially after his messages to maureen before the last CL semi argueably prompted the tactics from Maureen.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Well one of us from our semi will be in the final before the scum play milan, if it us waiting for them that is going to be one hell of a cliff hanger as both have reasons of wanting to face us!!

No Essien in the 1st leg, so I reckon we have a great chance of getting a 1-1, or better, at their place, and for the return leg put momo the destroyer on a man marking mission on Essien and we should be able to wrap it up.

Quietly confident after their 0-0 away display at the barcodes today, nothing I saw was out of the ordinary at this stage of the season.

I think Belamy will get a game tomorow, I think rafa will want some pace in the team to try and stretch Chelsea a bit.

No doubting that after watching them today, and we need the pin them back as far as possible and not give them the option of a high line back four, pity we don't have the extra bit of class (Garcia!!) to work inbetween as well.

Essien being out for the first leg is a massive bonus. Let's hope we can take advantage of it and sneak a win at their place.

Well he played centre-half today, so how long is Carvalho out for? Will he miss Wednesday too?

The fact Essien won't be patrolling the middle of the park for them is a ****ing huge bonus for us. They also have Drogba and a couple more on yellows, whereas we only have Pennant. Another plus for us.
