Thanjk you.

I could say that Torres is a marked man in a team that has been mediocre for years, yet has to play ike a big club due to fans expectations. The pressure at Atletico is HUGE, and the man who carries all their burden is Fernando Torres. The fact that he is a striker and is captain at his age says all you need to know of his character.
I believe he has stagnated at Atletico and that the writing has been on the wall for awhile that he should leave. Look at the torment Gerrard went through when he had to carry the team on his own, and he was older than Torres.
Torres has been around for ages it seems, and yet is still only just turned 23. He is already a top striker and lives for the big stage, the world cup proved that. A chance to play in the CL would really bring his game on to another level. He is a player who has the potential to be the worlds best striker like Henry has been.
He is quick, can shoot with either foot, can head the ball, has great control and dribbling ability, has explosive acceleration and is hero worshipped off the field after showing true dedication to Atletico and for being a nice guy who is a dedicated to his career.
He is also strong on the ball. You could watch him play if you like or I could post a Youtube video ( ) if you like.
Think that just about does it!
Its ok, save the youtube, I get what you are saying. The few (and it is only a few) times I've seen him play for Athletico I haven't been completely convinced, not that he isn't a good player, but that he is one of the best in the world. I'm sure you;re right about him needing to move though, and only when he does so will everyone find out if he can fully realise his "potential"

In fairness he is more of a Rooney type player and is unlikely to be a prolific goalscorer.
I agree, I actually think he's a quality player and would make a good signing, although some of the prices quoted over the years have been ridiculous and the expectations some people have had of him have been ludicrous too. He's a decent finisher, has pace, great technique and is a good header of the ball. I think he'd play off Kuyt or Crouch quite nicely.
To be fair, all of them are pretty damn good footballers, I'd just pick the guy who's been top scorer in England for 5 seasons over the others.
Without doubt. Henry would be a phenomenal signing and I'd definitely take him ahead of the others listed. Eto'o would come next for me, he's the best of the rest AND better suited to our league than the two Spanish strikers listed.
If you could have only one of the following next year who would it be?
Of those?
Etoo.
I think Henry is great, he is getting older though.
I have doubts about Villa adapting, and Torres has bags of potential but needs a change of scenery.

What potential transfer target wouldnt want to play with him and Gerrard
Yes, he would not be a long term signing, but if he was partially responsible for us winning the league in the next couple of seasons I wouldn't give a fcuk

Eto'o for me,
he is youg, hungry strong tallented and an eye for goal.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Henry for me. I know he is 30 but quite frankly Henry has been the most impressive player I have ever seen in recent years, although I can now honestly say the only other player up there with him is our Stevie.
The Ali of Football, he has at least 7 years top flight football in him. I lions heart, a warriors spirit and a true artists skill. Footballers dont normally impress me, Henry honestly is the only modern footballer who has.
**** me I would throw an Henry is a Red party if he signed
Happy would i be errrm Yes ....
