This is why our Midfield has to be aggressive and not just "sit" at The Bridge. With Essien out, we need to grab the game by the scruff of the neck, take it to Chelsea, score a couple, and then strangle the life out of them (make them look bluer than they ever have before).

If (and it's a big if) we manage to come home with a 2-0 lead, we could just take the p*ss out of them at Anfield (now that would be funny).

Just read a pretty intense interview from John Terry in The Times.

'Losing that match was the worst moment of my career - I wont let it happen again'.

I dont think we should underestimate how much that semi final defeat hurt Chelsea. They will be desperate for revenge.

His/their determination to beat us at all costs could be be their downfall. He can't say with certainty that he "wont let it happen again."

Over the course of 38 games we haven't been consistent enough to keep up with them but over 180 minutes of Football we're more than a match for them.

Rafa will be focussed on 2 games only. They are focussed to much on us and revenge. It will cloud there game.

they are hurting, we are hurting that they are going for a quadruple not us.

This is what our season has boiled down to. they have lot to play for still

They will be soooooooo up for this leg its not funny. This will be the toughest test of the season.

I reckon we will beat 'em and draw with 'em.

Whether its a win away and a draw at home or vice versa we will continure on to the final.

                  HERE WE COME NUMBER 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On another note I reckon I might put some cash on Fowler to score the winner against the Mancs in the final.....

I think we have a great chance of getting through, Although Chelski are hitting form but so are we and the second leg at Anfield is a big plus just like 2 years ago.

Chelski have suspensions and injuries going into the first leg. So if we could come out with one of two goals win that would set us up in a great position.

I say, this is a good time for The Boss to step up from his barren spell of late and show them why we call him, The Boss.

Agreed, they'll be up for this one perhaps more than any other game this season, we have to match them in that department before we can think about winning the game.
