Simao and Quaresma

    Simao looks a far more consistent player and is a dead ball specialist. Consider the amount of corners and free-kicks we waste each game and what he could add.

      Any player that fakes injury so he can get a move to another team is a player i dont want

          He faked injury last year or 2 years ago for Benfica when we were interested in him in the January window. He didnt play incase he got injured

                  Thats true, thats how it was called off.

                  Rafa seems to rate him as he has been linked for the last 2 seasons....i dont know if id be crazy about him coming in, then again i only see him in the Champs League 6 games a year.

                    Rafa's judgement will do for me.

                    I think he fills a few of our needs, primarily improving our set pieces. He's one of the best around.

                      Interesting bit on Quaresma:

                      Quaresma was seen as a talented player with a major short-coming: lack of defensive skills. This shortcoming has now been corrected - and is seen as one of Co Adriaanse's main achievements - and Quaresma is a real team player, helping both in defense whenever needed, and in offense, with his stunning dribbling skills and magical passes and crosses. He has become famous for his amazing technique in which he crosses the ball with the outer part of his right foot, in order to achieve a curve in which the ball is "pulled" away from the keeper right to the feet of the striker.

                        TBH I'd love to see more tricks and flicks coming from a player in our squad. The rest of the team has that rock solid dependable regularity already. It's the tricks that can make the difference. Let Gonzalez take the dead balls eventually. He is good enough. Someone who can play like Ronaldo/Quaresma is simply unstoppable on their day. Everyone in the prem has sussed out Ronaldos game but they still don't know how to handle him. For us it will give us an element we so sorely need. I'm happy with our current captain too. As for scoring goals....Let the strikers do that. Thats what they're paid for.

                            where'd you get that? wikipedia, written by some queresma fanboy?

                            i don't think he has the mentality to play in england, and more importantly, to play for rafa

                            he failed at barca because of his lack of discipline
