Simao still in Reds' thoughts

Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry has confirmed that Benfica star Simao Sabrosa is still in Rafa Benitez's thoughts.
The Portuguese winger has been a long-term target for Liverpool, with the Anfield giants having come close to landing Simao in the summer of 2005.
Benfica pulled the plug after he had passed a medical, but he has remained under the watchful gaze of Benitez for the last couple of seasons.
Simao has impressed once again this term and Benfica pulled off a notable coup in March as they persuaded the 27-year-old to sign a long-term deal.
Benfica confirmed last month that Simao's buy-out clause stands at €20,000,000 (£13.5million) and it would appear that this sum has not thrown Liverpool off the scent.
"Simao is certainly not forgotten," Parry told Portuguese daily O Jogo.
"We have not yet put any real thought into this, we have taken no decision, but we have not moved away from the hypothesis to come back and negotiate when the transfer window opens.
"Since our official bid for the player (August 2005), we have not had any more conversations with the club but, in the summer, we don't know if we will come back again."
