Torres IS good in the air! Anyone able to get stats for headers?? Scores quite a few from corners

Torres is quick, very skillful, strong and can score with both feet

I have no doubts about his ability, but don't watch him week in week out so not sure about consistency

There is also the old 'will he adapt' scenario, but the same could be said for anyone
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

            what did he say??

                Good one, mate.
I rate him very highly from the limited times I have seen him.

Looks strong, athletic, quick, good in the air and a 'Rafa type player'. All good.

I was sitting behind the technical area ( dugout as was ) last week and I noticed that Rafa had the words " St Michael " written inside the top of his shirt..... This means that Rafa must rate him really highly so obviously I reckon St Mike is coming home in the summer

                    40 apps for Spain - 14 goals
159 apps for Atlético Madrid - 68 goals

That said i think the story is a pile of pish!
His Stats Are slightly better than another youngster ( Rooney ) 73 in 216 at Club Level and 12 in 38 for England.
But then we are talking different Leagues, as well quality of supply. He could well be worth the gamble. Also are we
sure the 27m being quoted is £ not EUR ? We will certainly be able to provide with enough chances. It comes down to
will he be able to adapt, Morientes certainlt couldn't.

First a fan is banned for racist chanting and now Torres's armbanned!!!!

                      Just what is going on?

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Here i'll get it for ya
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
