Wrong starting 11. Rafa has to take responsibility for this. If Finnan's injured, we should have gone with Momo in as well (instead of Zenden) and Crouch not Bellamy.

talkin out your arse mate, it seems obvious to me that rafa expected finnan to play, which would have meant finnan RB, Arbeloa LB and risse left wing. But then rafa had to switch it round and put bolo left wing. And **** me, momo in the middle???? we'd never have had possesion of the ball at any point in the match, and we were giving it away enough as it was. Do me a favour and take responsibility for that post.

I watched it in a pub full of chavs...my dislike of them is growing. My dislike of the pathetic Drogba is complete. They did, IMHO, look the better team overall, but if the ref hadn't been such a sucker Drogba would have been off. I have also lost faith in Zenden.

God I hope we hammer the ****s at Anfield.

Why should i be ashamed of myself? It is of my opinion that the players were piss-poor in their display of the basic do-not-take-your-eyes-off-the-****ing-ball act. But yes, i am OTT, pissed and fcuking frustrated. And i have every right to be, knee-****ing-jerk or not.

But imho Rafa did pick the wrong 11. For me Zenden and Bellamy shouldn't have started. Having said that I didn't think Zenden was our worst player tonight, despite the slating he's getting on here.

correct, it was diabolical really, no wonder arbeloa didn't have his best game, he had no one in ****ing front of him, if Gerrard is right wing then he should stay on the right wing instead of coming into the middle and ****in screwing every pass he tried to make FFS!!!

I'll take responsibility for everything I post mate.

Let me explain myself a bit better. I agree Rafa expected Finnan to play. But this was a CL Semi-final. How and why did he think Zenden was up to this game, when he hasn't been all season in much less crucial games? I don't know.

Why do I think we should have played Momo? We know what Momo brings : energy and and ability to break up everything. I wouldn't have cared if we'd have got a 0-0 tonight (yes of course, I'd have preferred a score draw or win), but Chelsea would have struggled to get through us with the 5 in midfield (it hasn't stopped us doing it before). As it was we didn't track enough or get early enough tackles in (Agger not tackling Drogba when he had the chance led to their goal).

Well, as for Bellamy v Crouch: Chelsea have struggled against Crouch in the past, and he has scored against them. So I'm not sure why Rafa thought Bellamy deserved his place over Crouch.

So, imho, Rafa got the team selection wrong and we paid the price. We're not out of it by any means, so that's the upside - and if given that result before the game (and the way thew 1st half went), I think we would have settled for that at HT.
