    thoughts on tonight

Mixed feelings. We really should have been out of it by half time, so to get through the match without conceding another was vital.

However, it will be very very tought in the 2nd leg. We had a better 2nd half but produced very little in terms of efforts.

I'd say we've got a 40% chance of getting through. Huge improvement in attacking play will be needed though.

12th man will have a huge part to play.

    We'll need a perfect performance.

I'd say it's 50-50. We did them last time at home.

We are back in the position that suits us best. A goal down makes us the underdogs. And we all know what we have achieved as underdogs.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I'd say it's 70% in Chelski's favour. You saw the pattern for the rest of the tie in the second half tonight. I have doubts about our ability to get past them now.

Dissapointed just like I am at losing any match. Happy that it's only half time though and we're only a goal down. It could have been so different had Stevie not missed his header and had Cech not made that great save from the Stevie long ranger.

              I'm confident that we'll progress.

I think we missed a golden opportunity in the 2nd half. It will take one helluva performance to do this. Tactics have to be spot on. No softly softly approach.

What a difference that 1 away goal would have made.

Still quietly confident that we'll push through.

Just as an aside lads. We were 3-0 down at half time in Istanbul. Look what happened there.

Unfortunately we are now playing to chelski's game plan. They will do what they did tonight, play on the break. Drogba is brilliant. Man of the match by a long way. It's going to be very hard, even with the crowd. I think we're out I'm afraid.

Horrible experience watching it with 3 Germans and a Swiss who don't appreciate the situation. The wide play was adequate down the left with Zenden for once, but up the right we just didn't push enough. Agger hung off Drogba and the centre backs were committed for the goal from Mr Potato Head. Xabi just didn't seem to link up properly with the flowing play and the last ball was inevitably lost.

Just like to add. No wonder Souness was such a bad manager. He can't identifiy "special" players. He reckons that Stevie is our "only special player."

And WTF is that **** going on about on my telly moaning about no penalties?
