If we get an early goal next week we'll do it. Fear the worst if they score first. Tie over.

I'd play same team nect week but Finnan back at RB, Arbeloa LB and Risse LM.

I wonder whether we'll go 3-5-2 in the 2nd leg, as they'll defend for most of the game. Hyypia may cope better with Drogba in the air.

        ---------------------Reina----------------------

        -----Carra----------Hyypia----------Agger------

        ----------------Sissoko / Masher----------------

        Pennant--------Gerrard-------Alonso----Gonzales/ Riise

        ------------Crouch------------Kuyt-------------

Well Saturday should be an interesting team selection. Step forward Dudek, Sami, Finnan (if fit), Momo, Gonzo, Bellers, Fowler

I think you might be wrong. Go at them early then shut it down if the result is right.

Hope we have a go at home. If we're going out I'd want to see us go at them rather than our typical wait and see approach.

                and Kewell.

                Our two most creative players.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

thought we were likely to more than 1 - 0 down actually

They`ve got the big premiership game between now and the second leg, plus we cant play as badly

Only one goal, any goal would lead to extra time.

Yes, I understand the downcast forecasts - but I think 60-70% would have taken that scoreline

Away goal - great - but its over now - and Rafa has to think of a) Keeping the back door shut b) Scoring at least 1
                    We need better attacking players!

                    Torres aint enough

                    Rafas number #1 fan

but we've made things hard for ourselves
Parry is a clown. En Rafa que confiamos

If Chelsea score at Anfield it's all over, that much is clear.

Essien will be back, so will Ballack.

                        ****.

On a brighter note - I think Chelsea would give the mancs a better game of it in the final (IF the mancs get there - BIG IF) than we would, plus all the anxiety I was starting to suffer at the prospect of a manc vs lfc final has started to disappear - Gary Nev parading 'ol big ears around Athens with a shattered Carra and Stevie sitting on the pitch may now be a distant nightmare.

I thought Alonso was awful tonight as well.
