Craig Bellamy tonight rubbished suggestions he has no working relationship with Rafael Benitez, branding the story "complete garbage."
Said Bellamy: "A journalist working for BBC Radio Wales has told people I have problems with Rafa and haven't even got a working relationship with him. That's complete garbage.

"I have gone on record recently and I will say it again now that I have learnt more from Rafael Benitez than any other coach I have worked with.

"I am a much better player for the time I've spent working with him and if I do go on to manage at some point in the future he's the model I'll use in my career. I can't make my respect for him any clearer than that.

"I am even more disappointed that we are approaching a massive game on Tuesday against Chelsea and I am having to waste time responding to this nonsense."

I`ll back Bellers `til i know the truth.
He only refuted one part of the story, nowhere does Bellamy state that he will not be leaving this summer.

When's the last time a journo could be trusted to tell the truth?

Whatever anyone says it's just a second hand rumour, and there's no other confirmation of it from another source.

All that said I think he'll be off. And quite frankly good riddance. Decent player, but nowhere near good enough.

It`s all based on what a Nobody says is true and what Bellamy says is untrue.

A nobody that works for the BBC, so much of a nobody that bellend had to come out and make half a statement, and leave out an important part of the story.

I'm sure we'll never really get to the bottom of this, but I'm sure Rafa is basing his decision (if he is being sold that is) on what he's seeing day-in-day-out on the training field and how he conducts himself away from training etc. The Riise incident wouldn't have helped.

A good player, but good enough to play for liverpool?
One thing I like about Rafa is that if he feels like he's signed a dud, he moves them on quickly (unlike previous regimes). I wont be crying about it, we've got more money coming in and can now buy better.

My brother is a radio journalist for the BBC, they have incredibly stringent checks on what they'll broadcast. A story like this wouldn't have been aired without it being very closely checked. It wasn't second hand, it was direct from the player himself. He's obviously blurted out and then realised what he'd done later, tried to undo the damage. Silly boy.

Both were "silly boys" and obviously still have a lot to learn about their respective careers.

At the final whistle it looked that Rafa and Bellamy's working relationship seems to be OK.

A quick word in Bellamy's ear by Rafa and a hug.

I don't think even he will complain at that.
