    Fratton Park today...

First off, lovely day. Nice and easy to get to for me as well. Parking was a piece of piss...great stuff.

Now, onto the not so good bit...

Obviously, we had a ****e team out and our performance reflected that. The so called 'senior' players, Hyypia aside, were a disgrace. Fowler's done and dusted, Alonso was a sloppy fecker, Dudek's a clown, Gonzalez was his usual useless self, Arbeloa was just pointless and Bellamy didnt look like he could be arsed. Probably preferred to be on a beach somewhere. Great stuff, cheers lads...

What was also a concern, was our 'support'....christ, what was the point?

Barely sang, barely seemed to know what was actually going on on the field and seemed to be largely made up of 'newcomers' or 'daytrippers' or whatever you want to call them. Now dont get me wrong, not everyone can get to every game and it doesnt matter if people go to one game, all the games or none. But if you're gonna go, fecking well SUPPORT the team at least. Make a fecking effort. Otherwise, dont bother and let someone else have your ticket, someone who might actually raise a whimper.

I've read stuff recently about how the away tickets are being distributed and if today was anything to go by, there seems to be some truth in the rumours.

Very poor, and very disappointing. For an away following to be so quiet is a major let down.

I sincerely hope Mr Gillett and Mr Hicks have a detailed look at how our ticket office is run, because it seriously needs a major overhaul....

    Rant now over. Onto Tuesday.

I know all of that. And i wasnt expecting anything like what it's gonna be on tuesday night. But our away following is (nearly) always excellent and i've never been to an away where we havent made a shedload of noise. Today was a new experience for me and i'm worried that it's the early stages of a worrying trend. I just hope it's a one-off.

Fact is, a couple of thousand did go. And having got there, you'd have hoped they might've been arsed to make themselves heard....

I hope the Athens bookings arent rendered pointless by 10pm tuesday...

Yep, I was at Reading a few weeks ago and it really shocked me just how poor our away support was. The worst I've experienced in about twenty or so away games in the past three or four years.

About a third of our end sat down at Reading and there were hundreds, if not a thousand 'daytrippers' completely diluting the atmosphere.

The entire ticket office system needs a massive overhaul, in my opinion, hopefully Tom and George will sort it out at some stage. Although realistically I dont think anything is going to get done until we move stadium.

The last three or four aways in the league have all been the same then.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I swear to god, a good percentage of our lot there today wouldnt have known who half of our players were...

                      That's an easy excuse....

There's far more fundamental reasons that that.

Our support was pretty ****e at The Emirates too when there was everything to play for earlier in the season. That day I stood next to two lads from Kent who hadn't been to a game in three years. That's not on. Predictably enough they didn't sing/shout/chant.

Unfortunately I think someone high up in our ticket office is ****ing everyone over. There's just far too many 'daytrippers' at away games these days for any other explanation.

And some people just want to spend their money and go & watch a football match, and if that means sitting down without being hassled at by rowdy, racist, aggressive thugs some of the time, so what? They spend the same money as anyone else.

So either you sit quietly not supporting your team, or you're being hassled by racist, rowdy thugs?

                          I see...

So because I like to stand and sing I'm classed as a 'rowdy, racist, aggressive thug' ?

                            Get a ****ing grip.

Some just want to sit quietly, watching the game, a simple concept.
