If everyone thought like that I would genuinely stop going to football matches, I really would.

At the end of the day when I think of Liverpool away ends I think of a vociferous, passionate block of noise and energy. That's how it should be, right ?

The second half away at West Ham our end was loud, ****ing loud. Probably the best I've heard it in the aways I've been to this season. Although it was decent at Charlton too if memory serves.

The problem is, we do seem to be getting quieter and quieter, it's a worry...

But to have a go at those fans for turning up is also wrong, London away games are very much different to say Pompey & Saints just prior to chavs at home in the CL semi, those that got tickets will be very proud & chuffed to have got them and if they happen to come across the OP post here will be disheartened at one of our own having a go at them for having got the tickets in the first place.

How it should be (which I agree with btw, never said I didn't) and how it is, and is going to be in the future, are not going to be reconciled I'm afraid, but I would never have a go at fans turning up, never.

Fans are fans, there is no rules, but for you to have a go at fans turning up is also wrong, just as wrong in your eyes for not being vocal.

I don't know why you are even debating this. Some people like to go and watch the game and the team that they support, others like to be more vocal in their support. Support does not necessarily mean having to scream and shout. Me, being a noisy bugger anyway like the latter but I respect that some don't like to let themselves go so much.

My POV is that fans should get behind their team. You called me a muppet for expressing that POV.

Why dont you pop into the Park or the Albert pre match and tell them not to sing songs....

I'm not having a go at them for turning up, i'm having a go at them for not bothering to support the team.

But in their eyes, they are supporting the team by paying for the ticket and being there, they may not be as vocal as you and AA and the other die-hards would like, but they bought the ticket in good faith and turned up, for quite a few it would prob have been for the first time.

But for you have a real go at them for being quiet, so what, not everyones away day has to follow your agenda.
