My POV is that fans should get behind their team. You called me a muppet for expressing that POV.

Why dont you pop into the Park or the Albert pre match and tell them not to sing songs....

See how they respond...

But in their eyes, they are supporting the team by paying for the ticket and being there, they may not be as vocal as you and AA and the other die-hards would like, but they bought the ticket in good faith and turned up, for quite a few it would prob have been for the first time.

But for you have a real go at them for being quiet, so what, not everyones away day has to follow your agenda.

I just think getting behind your team and showing your support when at a match is something fans should do.

You and others dont think fans should let the team know they're behind them, then so be it...fair enough.

I for one, despite being a bit of a foghorn was totally quiet on Wednesday. Reason? I was sat in the Matthew Harding Stand and had to act like a moron lol

people support the club in different ways, that's all. What's so bad about someone going to a game and sitting down to enjoy it - not everyone's an exhibitionist. Some guys shout 'I love you' to their birds in the middle of the street, others would never dream of that. Doesn't make one a 'better' boyfriend than the other does it?!

Saying people are **** fans just because they choose not to shout themselves hoarse for 90 mins is ludicrous IMO. Let's blame it on the out-of-towners eh :whatever:

However, anyone who doesn't shout themselves hoarse on Tuesday night can be labelled a ****wit with my blessing.

Ask my lad how I support the team, I go home having lost my voice.

However, I do not expect every one else to be on the same page as me, I allow for differences and quite happy to see a full stadium of paying fans, than half a stadium of singing fans.

And I certainly would not, ever, have a go at fans for even just turning up and being quiet.

Any other groups of people you dont like? Is it just about OOTers or do you have other preferences too? Ethnic origin? Religion? Gender? Height? Hair colour?

If everyone thought like that I would genuinely stop going to football matches, I really would.

At the end of the day when I think of Liverpool away ends I think of a vociferous, passionate block of noise and energy. That's how it should be, right ?

The second half away at West Ham our end was loud, ****ing loud. Probably the best I've heard it in the aways I've been to this season. Although it was decent at Charlton too if memory serves.

The problem is, we do seem to be getting quieter and quieter, it's a worry...

without going to every single match of the season ,imo i think the simple fact is,we raise the roof when its called for.
for instance i went to the sheffield utd game last month and sat on the kop for the first time in my life,it wasnt the experience i thought it would be.
the guy next to me spent more time reading the racing post and ringing his bookie,and he was a scouser.
plus its a 2 way thing,if the team are **** and uninspiring you can hardly expect the crowd to be interested can you.
i honestly dont think this is anything new tho,but unlike other sets of supporters we can raise the roof when we need to.
