at the time, we were on a high and it seemed we were definitely on our uppers. Rafa's Valencia tore us to shreds and our confidence left right there and then.
I remember thinking, who is this dodgy looking geezer in a leather jacket? His team was so disciplined, quick, strong and determined. They interchanged positions effortlessly and looked like they had several more gears to go up had we came back at them. We didnt. Ged looked foolish. To me it was the beginning of the end for him.

They were good, but I think we have the players to be even better

They had two good wingers in Rufete and Vicente and a magician in Aimar - that's what we lack but then we already knew that.

Garcia was to be his Aimar, but I dont think he has the overall game. We do miss the wee man though.

Pennant, Alves and Simao will easily surpass what they had.

              Campione etc etc

Rafa did his homework and Liverpool were easy prey.

The only worrying thing about Rafa is that none of his teams have scored many goals over a season.

Valencia won the League scoring 71 goals in 38 matches conceding 27. They finished 5 pts clear of Barca in second. They also won UEFA Cup scoring 20 goals in 13 matches conceding 5
