    Yes. But for his 1st season, not played up top all the time, still scored 13 goals. Not bad.

      agree on all of that. People have said that he shouldn't make the team just because of his workrate - but last night showed just how valuable an asset he can be. Superb.

        his work rate last night was unbelievable.

        Couldn't believe he was still going in extra time. The "chance" was a tough one. Cech had the near post covered, and Cole made alot of ground up to cover the far post. He really should of hit it along the ground under Cech

          He showed Cole who's boss.

          We missed him when he came off. It really shows how much he has come on since the turn of the year .

          I would start him in Athens!

            one of the best last night and showing more than the odd flash in recent weeks and months

            sometimes i get smugly self satisfied when i don't slag players in their first year

                Cole got in behind him twice just before he was taken off - he was just beginning to fade for me. He played ok though.

                  fair point. he did seem to be limping a bit when taken off. played his part no doubts though

                      Yeah he did fade...he was lagging behind Cole both times. No where near him. Rafa wouldnt of been impressed.

                      But he did play well. Im quite happy for him TBH. He's taken alot of stick, but he has worked through it all....and looks a much better player for it

                        Good to see him getting stuck into Cole. Wasn't he already on a yellow?

                        Came off at the right time but they said he had a groin strain, so not surprised. He provided a nice little bag of tricks on the wing. Nothing too flash, but mixed it up well.

                          He played very good in the attacking half. I wanted to strangle him when he lost the ball in the first minute that almost costed us a goal.

                          He is getting better attacking but is still not any good in our own half.
                          Just believe and you never know what will happen.

                          According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                            He had a great game and has been one of our best players in the 2ns half of the season. He fully deserves any credit he gets. If Milan make the final Pennant has to start?

                                Pennant was limping after the match and went straight down the tunnel.

                                Getting beaten by Cole when he may have been injured isn't a concern.

                                He took them on and got caused problems for me we should of had him playing 1st game I've said this he works well with the RB.
