We all know what we need, top class attacking talent. our defence is very solid, we have 4 top class central midfielders as well. We need quality width, particularly on the left and 2 top strikers.
First choice must be Eto'o up front, he's in his prime and is a superb all round striker. Next for me would be Owen, still Englands best striker. Left midfield is next, I've not seen anyone better than Ribery. as for the right, pennant deserves to stay so this is less of a priority but if we have the cash i'm a big SWP fan. If Mourinho goes, then SWP may well be up for grabs.AKA Heighway No9

Agree with what you say in principal but don't think Owen or SWP are realistic targets. Owen feels he owes Newcastle a season and the Chavs won't sell SWP to a title rival. I think Rafa's targets are Simao as he is versatile and can play on both flanks and in the hole, Tevez who is also versatile and can play up top ,wide and in the hole, Eto'o as he is the 20 plus goals a season striker we need and possibly Richards as cover for the backline!!Originally posted by Sir Bob View PostWe all know what we need, top class attacking talent. our defence is very solid, we have 4 top class central midfielders as well. Things can easily change though mate.Originally posted by blacky View PostAgree with what you say in principal but don't think Owen or SWP are realistic targets. The new Newcastle manager might need to sell Owen to raise funds. Equally, if we made a serious bid for him, Owen may well say I'm off anyway.
Ditto for SWP at Chelsea. If Mourinho goes then some players will also go as the new man will want his own players in. If this happens, SWP may be surplus to requirements. To get a decent fee, they'll have to sell to a rival, nobody else has the cash.AKA Heighway No9

Not saying new strikers are not important, but the thing is that in the league our current strikers have a total amount of goals very similar to the Scums. It's just the goals- and creation- from midfield where we are so far behind.Originally posted by SB View PostI'd have a top notch striker as priority No 1 closely followed by a new LW and closely followed by a new RW. Pennant has improved but the one thing missing from his game is goals. Not a critisism, just a fact!
Historically Rafa has wanted goals from across the team, not just from one player.3rd place. Worst champions ever.

It doesn’t need commas you fool. Excepting the standard abbreviation of "IMO", the only thing missing to make it strictly grammatically correct & totally semantically transparent is to put the word “we” on the front of the sentence. If you cannot make that logical leap yourself, then there is very little hope for you.Originally posted by Nic83 View PostThat doesn't make any sense.
I've read that 5 times and I've only just realised what you're trying to say.
Learn to use commas or something.
Please do not deign to question my linguistic prowess in future, you will only elicit another response that exposes you as the dullard you really are.3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Micah Richards
Ledly King (or Sylvain Distin on a free)
Vincente (of Valencia) for the LM slot - or Maxi Rodríguez
One of Aguero, Van der Vaart or Tevez

from that bastion of solid information - www.football-rumours.comI was in a well known club in Liverpool last weekend where I bumped into ex Liverpool striker John Aldridge. We was talking about Liverpool and he told me that he has been told that Thierry Henry's transfer to Liverpool Football Club is signed sealed and delivered.
