    Robbie's Anfield farewell

I think the game against Charlton next week will be the last time we see him play at Anfield. I just can't see him being offered a new contract for next season.

    Thanks for the memories.

PS that should read Farewell !!

At least we know about it this time, and can say farewell properly.

He'll come off the bench after about 70 mins I reckon.

Wining the Champions League would be icing on the cake, with a CL medal he can bid farewell on a high or even retire. I wonder what owen must be thinking now as he could have been in two CL finals and a winners medal.

Oh i forgot he left to win major trophies.........a pity that since he left liverpool he hasnt won anything where we have have quite a few trophies.

I really hope fowler is in the final 16 for CL, even if it means sitting on the bench and coming on for the final 5/10 minutes.

Id like to see him in the final as i think we could very well need someone who can finish.

I was thinking about Owen the other day and I still dont know what to make of the whole thing. I dont honestly know whether to laugh at his expense or feel sorry for him. A bit of both I guess.

I mean I was bitter about McManaman leaving the way he did but that resentment didnt last long and I was happy for him with the success he had at Madrid. The thing is with Owen that he turned his back on us twice - the second time for Newcastle so that he could consolidate his England career.

It's gone pear-shaped for him in a big way, but he made several big mistakes not just one, and so it was inevitable.

With him he also seems to have lost his hunger for the fight. He only seems to be motivated by England.

I'm delighted for Robbie, that he got the chance to come back, and I'll be equally as gutted to see him go again.

I would love it... just love it ...if he could stay in a coaching capacity.

What young strikers could learn from him!

Yeah agree with you on this he will be 28 this year and at the top level he has about three years to earn himself trophies. Yes he could have played hard ball with madrid and opted to come back at Anfield. Sowhat if he had rotted on the madrid bench or the reserves because he was always going to be the number one pick on sven's first eleven.

I honestly believe that Owen wants to break the all time england record for most goals as he isnt that far away.

It'll be Dudek's last appearance at Anfield too......

                        Always a legend for Istanbul.

trying to look past the emotional factor I wish Robbie stayed on in a coaching capacity...i bet anyone who fancies it that he will play on a season or 2 with a lower team then come back to coach. Betcha.

Couldn't see God in a coaching or managerial role tbh. Don't think he's got the discipline !!
