Morph I think you miss Usher's point. Usher's MAIN point is that, from what can be ascertained by asking round and surveys etc, there is no way anywhere close to 13,000 tickets went into that ballot.

More like 4 to 5k. So what happened to the rest?

to be honest mate it wasn't really in response to ushers post i just didn't think what i wrote qualified for it's own thread, and thought it would best fit in here

I doubt there's anything untoward happening and i'm pretty sure usher can't back up with any evidence that the 13k tickets went anywhere other than their intended destination.

Let's look at it this way we received 16,779 tickets from Uefa now we know that something like 4000 fans had 7 matches, so that takes us down to 12,779, then there's the issue of shareholders now we don't know how many ex-shareholders with priority there will be but you can bet that there's a hell of a lot considdering the club has just gone through a buy out, so to me it seems logical that a large portion of the those tickets have gone to the ex-shareholders

How will fans know they have been successful in the ballot?

Every supporter who has been successful in the ballot will receive a letter from us on Friday and they have until Tuesday to come back to us to say if they want the ticket. Also, any fan can log onto the Official Liverpool Website and enter their fan card number to see if they have got a ticket.

Also Usher seems to be assuming that every LFC fan who qualified for a ticket uses the net and votes in these polls etc, i know for a fact that my grandad and about 10 of his mates who go the match don't use the net and they all qualify for the ballot, and i;m sure there's thousands of others as well

this has been my point all along. why should myself and, say, PLY who have been to all 6 AND all the league games be treated equally to your mate. its really not right and the club should have bent over backwards to reward the fans who have been to 6 CL's AND have been week in week out in the league.

Its not a bad sample size though is it and there's nothing to suggest its a skewed sample unless people with the internet were inherently less likely to win in the ballot than those who aren't.

Not being funny here but it seems a lot of this RP hate i've read about in general is ****ing ridiculous

now i'm probably not going to make myself very popular here but why the **** should season ticket holders get everything, they get a season ticket which some fans would kill for as it is, and they get auto cup entry, just because they're lucky enough to be a holder doesn't make them the cream of the crop of LFC fans

So far i've heard of fans not recording the away CL fixtures on the fan card (we'll who's ****ing fault is that then, did no one learn from 2005 or read the information before the season started), fans saying that allocation should be based first on season tickets, why when plenty of fans who don't have a season ticket have probably gone to great lengths to get to many of our home and away games (more so than season ticket holders) and fans lambasting Parry and talking about cancelling any tribute to Moores to do some sort of protest. It's ****ing ridiculous, the rules where there for all to see at the start of the season and how allocation would work, so they had ample time to prepare for it.

It's not Parrys fault that Uefa only gave us 17k worth of tickets, 4k of which went to maybe the most deserving leaving less than 13k for the ballot, sure the distribution could maybe be worked on, but the number of fans who qulified for tickets on the same basis as 2005 was unpredictable so it would be very difficult and very unjust, just to award season ticket holders the chance to go to the final just because they've had a season ticket for 20 years.

I could never go to a weekend match in the past myself personally because of work commitments but tried to go to all the midweek matches I could in the 04/05 season and I don't see why that should mean I was any less entitled to go to the match than a season ticket holder, I qualified for a final ticket in Istanbull that year as it happened but didn't have the funds to be getting there so it never happened, and I hope my ticket went to a fan just as deserving as I was with or without a season ticket.

i'm astounded you think this man has so much power to make these decisions all on his own, there's a board with other directors, sure some of them are outgoing now and if there are problems with parry then we'll find out sooner rather than later with the new owners and the board they will have in place. but the fact that you seem to think he sits there and makes these decisions on his tod is a bit silly

im disappointed by this whole ****ing thing...we should all be ****ing overjoyed at reaching the final, now we have to put up with whining c u nts because uefa have screwed us over, get over it, no amount of whining is going to get you a ticket, r.p has been a bit of a **** at times granted, but how is moaning going to help?
Get behind your team and prey we win No.6.....then lets get a petition/banner/parade, whatever to let the yanks know we feel ****ed over. No amount of whining has ever helped and im feeling ****ed off with the whole situation.
