The charlton game will be important for him, if he plays well and shows no side effects, we would be silly not to consider him or atleast have him on the bench. When Milan are going over their tapes of us playing this year, there will be nothing of Kewell, Rafa will also like that element.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

He looked a good stone lighter last weekend.
Doubt he'll start but he'll defo be on the becnh and i'm sure he'll take to
the field at some stage during the game.
        Superb player.

Given the scarcity of talent on our left hand side I'd say there's a damn good chance. I'm not a Kewell fan but being honest, is there anyone better than him on our left with Aurelio injured?

The only other viable option would be Arbeloa left back and Riise left mid, but I thought Riise's kick and rush style of beating a man put him out of his depth in Istanbul.

Odd as it is to say it, I couldn't really criticise a decision to play him there. He's probably the best option available at the moment if fit.

Just in time for another cup final, how long will he last on the pitch this time!

not fair to the other player missing out of the final because of him

he doesnt deserve a final place

Exactly, although I rather see a fully fit Kewell in the side than Zenden

Would you say the same if it was gerrard who had been out all season and was coming back to fitness now?

Yeah I know. But just because he is always injured, doesn't mean he is not a good player. If he is the best option for the left wing, then he should play. Other players feelings shouldn't really come into it.

Some fools think that he wants to be injured the way they carry on. He's the best option, if he's match fit enough, and Rafa will make the call based on that alone, not because he wants to appease players who think they deserve to play cause they haven't been injured.
