According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
Why does everyone assume that Rafa wants to play a 3-5-2 formation?
What kind of manager waits 3 years before trying out his 'preferred' formation?
We won't be playing 3-5-2 next season
He probably won't but you need the right players to play 3-5-2. I think everyone just hopes because it's the only way Gerrard will play in the middle. With Masch, Alonso, Gerrard, Leiva and Momo if he doesn't play 3 in the middle I can see a lot of players being upset. I also can't see Stevie taking another year on the right.
It's confusing how? Is there another Milito we don't know about?

On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So it's Ning Nang Nong!
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning!
Trees go Ping!
Nong Ning Nang!
The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!
That is just GREAT news. With Carra getting older it is perfect timing. It reeks of a 3-5-2 Rafa vision to me btw. If we got Milito, Alves and Tevez I would be ecstatic.
I still don't think we will play three at the back as a general formation. We need another CB in the squad as Hyppia is getting older and less able to do more than fill in. Look how Chelsea faired this season with only two front line centrebacks.

I'm not one to second guess Rafa, nor am I one to be negative about new signings or prospective new signings......
but...........
I watch as much Spanish Football as I can and have seen Milito play a fair few times this season alone and have not been impressed at all. He is slow and whilst he is hard as nails, i've seen him brushed aside and skinned by the more diminutive strikers in La Liga.
