But Lennon doesn't have the skills that pay Ronaldo's bills. He's fast and that's it. He can twist and turn a bit but he doesn't have any feints or stepovers in his locker. He's more of a "kick it past him and leg it" type of winger than a winger who beats people with skill performed at pace.

I agree his basic skill level is much lower and he isn't in the same class but I think the characature of his game is a little unfair. He is surprisingly aware of the cut back when he gets in the box and his crossing is distinctly average but he gets into position to deliver more often than most.

I'm unconvinced he will ever be a really top player but wide players with pace and the strength to play PL football are rare and in that environment he is definitely a player worth considering.
