I think the loss of Zenden is a big blow to Rafa's plans for the final. It looks probable that he would have started against Milan. I think Bolo would have been the best option for the team against Milan, certainly based on Kewell's lack of fitness.

A Riise Arbeloa Axis down the left looks the obvious choice but don't be surprised to see a different choice on the left - Pennant, Bellamy or Gonzalez may get the nod, none of which have Zenden's defensive qualities.

Alonso may come into the reckoning more now as well.

which ones apart from Chelsea at home they mean?

I think he did well in that game but has done **** all else and was bloody awful away against Chelsea.

I kinda hope Harry starts and has a blinder but Riise and Arbeloa is the sensible option.

It's funny how polarised the opinion is about Zenden's performance against Chelski in the away leg - some fans thought he was our best player, others thought he was our worst. IMO he was somewhere in the middle.

I just think he would have been the best option for the final - keeping things tight down the left before Harry came on for the last 30 mins (and possibly extra time).

I should have added as well, if you'd have asked me 3 months ago, who I thought should start at LM for Liverpool against Milan in a CL Final, I would never have even considered Zenden.

After recent performances that is a blow for the team and for the lad as well. Gutted for him to miss a huge final so close to the game. Hope he makes it.

Yeah absolutely gutted for him...........that makes very likely that Kewell will play some part or ven starting the game. Lets hope only this time we doesnt get injured.

Zenden was **** in the first leg against Chyelsea. He did OK in the second leg.

Play Kewell for 60 mins Rafa. I would.
