Yeah wicked beaches but the nightlife is crap. A bit sterile for me.

I am looking to move to QLD later this year.

Nightlife isn't all that great but as a student back then, I really enjoyed the place. Used to be able to get $2 bourbon/coke at Metropolis @ Freo. Loved the life bands at the Newport and some excellent local brew at Sail&Anchor. Northbridge was alright, spent time mostly at The Globe & St James St Club. Not sure if these places are still around. On Wed nite, Steve's and the Leederville really used to kick-off.

No shortage of good waves on offer. Burleigh, The Alley and of course Snapper Rocks. Plenty of good beach breaks if you don't like to travel

There's my top 5 things to do!

                      And then there's

6 Fishing trip ( awesome fishing whether inside the harbour or out on the reef
                      7 Green Island

Your only there 7 days so there you go

Well I've booked the Kuranda Skyrail and the River Cruise

I am looking at some low level white water rafting on the Barron. Not brave enough for the Tully run yet!!

We are also looking to move up there at the end of the year so this is an opportunity to about.

                            Don't miss the reef.

Big difference in the heat over summer to what it's like now. Can't swim in the ocean in summer either.

The wife did the rafting on the Tully before we met up and she said it was great.

Be sure to go to the "pub on the hill" if you get to Trinity Beach. Awesome pub with great views.

Can recommend that also as I've been there 3 times but a long way from Cairns.

Lake Wabby is a sight isn't it!

I have a booklet about 4wding in Fraser Island. Yeah I'd love to go there.

Perhaps if we move then I can explore a bit more. I have to check the viability of moving the business first.
