id be happy to 'clog' our squad with eto'o alves and tevez. the carling cup is for the youngsters but we should really loan them out to get experience, as we all know the reserve league is poo.

Most of our youngsters are **** - I don't think any of our youth team that won the cup will make it into Rafa's 1st team. I'm fed up waiting on the next star coming through - we need to buy proven talent that can fit into the team and go challenge for the EPL

signing another TOP striker would be a must if we signed samuel as he will be off to the african nations so we'd be back to where we started (unless thats what the vulture/jackal/eagle -whatever his nickname is -is for)

i did like the look of the line up that was posted. i am not sold on MGP for 10m but he is better than gonzalez by a country mile. looks like a smiilar kind of poser though and i would wonder about his mentality if he signed for us

I was enjoying that post until Pedersen's name came up and realised that regardless of our budget we're still looking at squad fillers.

We can't have 22 stars, regular first teamers or whatever we want to call them.

We need a team mix of world class, hard workers & squad fillers of which most would prob not walk straight into a top class CL side, but must be ready to play or deputise when the time comes, Pedersen fits that bill nicely, look how much our left wing has been missing some decent quality most of this season, and his set pieces and throw ins are phenomenal anyway, which would assist us greatly as well.

The sum of the whole is always a strange mix in title winning teams, and in todays world, that team squad is 22 players and more.
