Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He said that he would stay at Barca if the team is built around him but would leave if it is build around Ronaldinho.

He said that we would probably be his first choice if he left.

Also that we already had the striker to score the goals (Kuyt) and that Rafa would prefer a different type of striker to compliment Kuyt

Also said Torres is probably around 3rd choice option but he is desperate to leave Athletico.
Surely then Kuyt is playing on top next season.

I think Garcia/Tevez just behind Kuyt would be a great pair.

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o believes Liverpool can defeat AC Milan in Athens on Wednesday and claim their sixth European Cup.

However, the Cameroonian striker said he anticipated a tight game between the English and Italian sides.

"Liverpool can win. They have a lot of qualities, but I believe that none of that will matter in the final," said Eto'o.

"It all depends on how the team perform on the day and it is impossible to tell until they are on the pitch. In such an evenly-balanced game, the team which plays best on the day will win," he added.

For that to happen for the Reds, Eto'o believes Liverpool need a big performance from captain Steven Gerrard - a player he has always admired.

"Gerrard is a great player. I love the way he plays and he is so important to Liverpool. For me, he is like Ronaldinho or Andres Iniesta. They are players who can change games," the Cameroon international continued.

The Barcelona striker is aware Carlo Ancelotti's Milan will be fired up after their dramatic defeat against the Reds in the 2005 final - when Liverpool came back from 3-0 down and eventually won on penalties.

But he believes that match will become irrelevant once the two teams are out on the pitch.

"All of that revenge talk is great for the press, to sell newspapers. (As a player), you can be thinking about these things in the dressing room, but once you step out on to the pitch, I don't think it really crosses your mind," he said.

"As I say, I think the team who plays best on the night will win and nothing else really matters."

Eto'o knows Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez from their time together at Real Madrid, and is full of respect for the Spanish tactician.

"I knew him at Real Madrid Castilla (the Spanish side's youth team). He is a good person and has shown that he is great coach. His teams are always hard to beat," he added.

Nevertheless, Eto'o has no preference as to who wins and is disappointed he himself is missing out on the final.

"I hope the best team wins. I know the two sides well and have friends in both teams, so I don't mind who wins. For me it is just a shame that I am not playing in this final.

"I would really like to have been there," the striker concluded.

interesting, sounds like he would really like to be there alright, playing for us I hope.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I think there will be a pretty big shake up in the summer. Lets face facts, we are more than 1 or 2 players away from the title. The likes of Bellamy, Kewell & Gonzalez will go I reckon. Sami may go as well, ditto Alonso. If Rafa has the readies he will spend it after shopping in the sales for so long.

I very much doubt Kewell and Speedy will go. Kewell is looking very fit now and should be a great addition to our squad next season.
And I think Speedy will get more time to adapt. Unless there is some player exchange gonna happen.

I'd be surprised if Speedy stayed, he's just looked so far short of the mark. Personally, i'd send him into the championship on loan, a really physical league which should show if he's got the strength to succeed at LFC.

As for Harry, he does look very fit, but I just think he LFC ship has sailed. We've bought the young Argie and I can't believe we won't buy a top notch LM, so that means no speedy or Harry for me.

I agree on Speedy, he should go out on loan.

But why would we sell Kewell? We dont need to sell, we would not get that much for him and he loves the club.
Plus when he is on he is a real top class player.
