Kuyt did "do" it tonight imo.

With serious quality down the wings, and a little touch of better luck, we'd have won tonight and he'd have been instrumental in that. He had a nightmare of a job tonight, and went about his task with gusto. I'm going to be expecting big humble pie from you Quinncy when he scores 20+ next season with some serious support around him.

And Vise versa when he doesn`t.he is not a Owen,Fowler,Rush or Aldridge type striker.

He aint the player I thought he was going to be but that isn't a bad thing. Didn't Martin Jol say he was a 20 goals/20 assists kinda player? I don't think he is that either, probably somwhere in the middle.

He needs someone else up there with him.

when he`s on his own he should be the last man in 90% of our attacks,he plays too deep most of the time.

I'm a bit undecided about Kuyt. His boundless enthusiasm and tireless workrate is a big plus but he simply is not capable of playing in the role he was given this evening.

He's scored some typical poachers goals this season but that's only when he's stuck to being central and when he's been partnered by Crouch - their record of 12 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats when starting together is more than decent considering the losses were Arsenal away - when we had Zenden & Gonzalez in the same midfield ! - and Arsenal at home in the cup when we had another very odd game, being punished on the counter-attack.

When Kuyt has played with Bellamy he has tended to roam about an awful lot more and has frequently been less effective because with Bellamy doing the same our attack has lacked focus at times.

Of all our strikers the only one I would be devastated to lose is Crouchy, so I guess that shows where Kuyt is in my view, but if I wanted another one to stay it would be Dirk. I think he can do a job but Rafa has to play him in the right position and with the right partner.

Needs another season before I'll judge him.

He could be good enough but he needs to be a bit more selfish and get his arse in the box.

people got no ****ING clue what they're talking about when they slag Kuyt off..he gives 110% every game and next year I am willing to BET any MOFO here that he will score 20 or more goal. Some people here are bleeding useless.

I think Kuyt is average. He's got no pace, not great in the air, not a great finisher...he just runs around a lot.

Compare him to Henry, Owen, Etoo...who would you rather have? In my opinion we should sell him. Crouch is a better player.

Two years ago Milan played us off the park for 114 minutes. Today they only did it for about 8 minutes. That was some side we were up against, and we were a fluke goal away from going in at half time in the ascendancy. We lost, its ****, but we were beaten by one of the very few sides with equal pedigree to our own, and we went down fighting. We played that game the right way, but just lack that killer edge which, to be fair, all lfc fans know we lack. We matched the best tonight, we should be proud of that, not slinging insults at players who gave their all
