Kuyt has worked harder and covers more ground than any other premiership striker so far this season.
    Fact!

His game to goal ratio since he came to the club is below expectation but so it should for any new striker coming to the premiership (Berbatov exception)

Let's give the guy the whole of next season along side a decent world class week in week out striker before we judge him.

    C'mon within
    C'mon without.
    You ain't seen nothing since
    The Mighty Kuyt!!

people got no ****ING clue what they're talking about when they slag Kuyt off..he gives 110% every game and next year I am willing to BET any MOFO here that he will score 20 or more goal. Some people here are bleeding useless.

If you work as hard a Kuyt does, you are eventually going to settle in.

The same people who are disappointed with Kuyt's goal return are advocating TEVEZ as the new Messiah. Kuyt has scored more than Tevez this season and probably started fewer games. Not to mention that Tevez takes all the freekicks which are in scoring distance.
Kuyt was signed very late in the transfer window after the World Cup. He's not had a proper pre-season he's just expected to settle in straight away and pop 40 goals in.
Look at Drogba's first 2 seasons.
You could say we gave Morientes long enough to settle and we gave Cisse long enough to settle, but these 2 aren't in Kuyt's league when it comes to contribution when he's not scoring.
The amount of space Kuyt creates with his runs and his workrate would give any defence problems.
He needs the same team talk which Sir Bob gave to Rushie "Be more selfish or you're out"

his job however is to score goal, create chances or make himself available in goal scoring positions, NOT chasing the blooooody balls all over the blooooooooody park, NOT when he is used in a 4-5-1 formation.

If we use him properly he would score more goals. Every single goal - bar the West Ham one - was scored in the box with the vast majority being close range efforts.

Kuyt is not going to score goals in the Henry mould, starting out wide and using searing pace to beat a man, cutting onto his right foot and curling it past the keeper. It just ain't gunna happen. So I don't understand why Rafa keeps fielding formations that expect that of him - or giving him instructions to play that kind of role.
