Knowing Rafa though he's not really in to Marquee signings is he. i reckon there will be no like for like replacement and we'll have Kewell and Leto playing down the left next season.

If I was JAR I'd also fear for my place. He was badly exposed defensively last night, and apart from his fantastic stamina he has some deficiencies going forward.Originally posted by Harveybirdman View Postvery true.
Who can we sign on the left though??
one player that ive forgot is Vicente....on his day he is world class. But would be a huge gamble, he has a fitness record comparable with Harry.
David Silva?? Would be a class signing, but would cost a pretty penny
In fact if i could chose anyone, it would be him.

Simao will almost definately come now I think and will be a big success. For too long now we've virtually being playing with 10 men because we've been carrying passemgers on the left"Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest."

The Problem with JAR is that he is neither a solid left back or a fantastic left midfielder. I would describe him as a wing back.Originally posted by fredo View PostIf I was JAR I'd also fear for my place. Yes, Garcia may come into the reckoning for LW but I think he's a link up player rather than a winger. That is why talk of Tevez signing is far fetched IMO, as Garcia and to a lesser extent Stevie / Harry, can be a link up player, which in retrospect and despite his good goalscoring record this season, Tevez also is.Originally posted by Frodo View PostWe must also factor in a fit Luis Garcia who can also play down the left, so my arguments about no new signings has more strength.

Yes David Silva is quality! he ripped chelsea defence apart in CL this season."In fact I’m going to make a promise which will be welcomed by many. If there’s no finance secured by the opening day of the season, I’m going to hang up my keyboard and close KOPTALK down." - Duncan Oldham, Expert Conman. March 29th 2006
