I dont want to open it again but Rick Parry is very very poor at his job compared to Gill and Kenyon ive been saying it for years, they are quality at there jobs.

He has been in to much of a comfort zone when Moores was in charge im sure he has in his contract that he cant be replaced by the new owners
When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........

bring it on. About bloody time someone took the rose tinted glasses off and saw it as it is. Two world class strikers, two world class wide players, some youth with potential and clear out the nice but not good enough players.
Success is built by being ruthless!

We can raise c40million imo by
5 million for Gonzalez is good business
      4 million for pongolle (sold)
4 million for kirkland ? (sold)
5 million for cisse i'd take
7 million for bellamy i would expect
7 million for momo is realistic
10 million for Kyut or Crouch is realistic (one will be sold imo)

That's over 40 million and it still leaves us a strong foundation to build on.

The only players safe imo are reina, finnan, carragher, agger, mash, gerrard, aurellio (on account of his injury if nothing else) and one of kyut or crouch

pretty safe but rafa would sell if there was a clear like for like improvement are garcia, kewell, pennant, riise, alonso, arbeloa, carson

I think Fergie is looking to follow Rafa and Jose's lead and have two holding midfielders

I wouldnt say hes a "great player" but hes certainly a decent player. Not sure hes worth £18 million though but then neither was Carrick imo
Fergie could of had any player he wanted and would still of been done.Bad tactics and every player he has is the best in the land and he sets them up for a big fall.Glad Rafa came out with this statement.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
        everyone wants to know

            I get that feeling.

They are starting to piss me off a little tbh. Did you see Gillet last night talking to Rafa when he was going up for his medal? Rafa clearly didn't want to speak to him. Also when the lads were walking through the guard of honour Gillet was with them? I mean what's that all about? It's time to shut up and put up now boys back Rafa with what he needs.

I was going to post that last night too. What I worry about is the flip side of the coin, when all the money is spent and we have the slow start to the season next year, what will H and G say when a micophone is shoved in their direction. I dont get the feeling that they`ll stay quiet...
              We need better attacking players!

Well their honeymoon period is now over and it's up to them to start doing their work. For three or four months now we've had to listen to their big plans. Now is the time for them to start doing their bit, stay true to their word, and deliver what we need.

I don't worry about that tbh because from all accounts they've never interfered before with their other sports clubs.

I just think Rafa is saying to them 'right boys you've mouthed off enough now it's time to put your hand in your pockets and keep your promises' I get the feeling Rafa is starting to doubt them.

Blimey give the Americans a chance will you, the transfer season hasn't even begun and already there are 'threats' from people on here...

Of course they will back Rafa, they said it many a time and I believe they will back him to the hilt. They're no mugs and they know Rafa does not bull**** around.

Why did Rafa need to say what he said in the press today then? Perhaps your right but I just don't get it.

For me this is engineered to get peoples minds towards next season. To say we got to the champs league with a squad I consider to not be as good as it should be and wait till I have x player etc. I dont think Rafa is taking pot shots at anyone, I think he is telling the players as much as anyone that nobodies position is safe.

I doubt Rafa aimed it directly at them? I think he's come out basically to state that he doesn't want to bull**** anymore and that he's fed up with having to deal with 2nd/3rd choice. He knows it and so the owners, I just don't see Rafa as a man who would write off the Americans' clout before he'd even went into a transfer window - their first. I just think he wants everyone at the club to pull in the right direction. No nonsense full blast ahead and he wants everyone to know that, directors, players etc.
