Don't really see why he'd need to do that though - not like there is great love for Parry from the fans??

What about his interview on Revisita La Liga on Sky? He looked like he was ready for the off that night. All he kept saying when asked about his future was "I'm thinking only of the next game." He looked well pissed off. I was certain after that interview that he would be leaving us this summer but he was no doubt given assurances from the new owners. I think he's become concerned that those assurances will not be carried out to their full extent.

His days are numbered thats for sure. Looks like Foster will have a big say in the going on's with the club.

How can you call someone who gleefully lets their company get into hundreds of millions of pounds of debt a 'top business man/genius'?!!

And it's not hard to get what you want when you can spend as much as you like. 'Hey Lyon, is 20 mil enough for Essien? No? Ok how about 24, will that do?!'

I wasn't convinced he was trying to say he'd had enough there. He was upset, but you know the trouble he has with his translation sometimes?

I think the media made a mountain out of that one with the Real link at the time. If there really was more to it, then my ignorance is bliss!

And look how Essien has turned out worth every penny. He has alot of money to spend and has done alot with partnerships/marketing Dept it will level itself out in the next few years and they will make a profit.

Look what he done with Manure as well, he is a top business man

True, but I don't think they would do it for the sake of the fans. Parry is still well regarded in places.

Possibly with hindsight, but he spent that in a depressed market where no other team would have been able to go much higher than £15m. Same goes for Drogba, Carvalho and Ferreira (£12m hahah). And blowing £30m on Shevchenko last summer doesn't look too smart does it?

He's only asked to get them, and in the Shev deal that was Romans doing and there was no option but to get him to the club.

Not a bad trophy count since he's joined the club the Chelski club brand has been turned into a success

If it takes £90m to sort out 2 wingers and 1 striker (seems like a lot to me, £40m on a striker and £20m each on two wingers...that's shedloads of cash)...but if we dont get the £90m, even £40m wouldnt be so bad.

We're now in the position where we have the depth, we just need to top class 1st teamers. So we could do what United do, spend BIG on ONE world class player, say for example £40m on Eto'o and then wait one more year to get the wingers.

It might take 1 extra season, but it sure beats buying 8 average players, realising after a year that they're tripe and starting again from scratch.

I think most kopites are bored of the ould 'we're just 2 or 3 players short' bull**** we hear every blimin summer. NOW is the time for action to speak louder than words.
I'm not saying we buy our way to success, the Americans aren't Abramovich, rich but they say they are going to give Rafa the 3 well lets bloody see that £ spent on two-three players that are ready to go straight into the first team and make a difference.
                          This summer is crucial.

As for the Hargreaves transfer having been done swiftly, they've been trying to sign him since last year !!! Hardly a swift transfer is it ?
