For those that dont know, this was the biggest ever thread on KT, (when is was a busy site.......not the wasteland it is now), it got so big it caused the servers to crash,
It was during the Houllier days and was all about us signing a young Ghanaian midfielder for £3 million, there were even pictures of him in the director's box, at Anfield, as it happened we failed to qualify for the Champs leaugue that season so didnt proceed with the transfer.

we just haven't got a good record in scouting out unknowns, signing them and who then become superstars. Gerrard and Carragher are home grown. Our reserves has the next best whatever brought in from foreign lands that when we really look at them probably won't make it. As for our gems, gonzalez, palletta to name a few they didn't/won't make it either.
Our track record with unknowns is poor on the whole and if this is true i hope it might finally improve.Comment
