I don't know why the Carlsberg has to be green. Surely it would have looked better in red.

Also the numbers on the back are in black. Does that have to be the case or could they have been in red also?
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

That's my only complaint, but we always do it. Why? Why does Carlsberg have to be in green?

well their logo is traditionally green.

so on a white shirt they would always want it to be green.

On a red or black shirt however green would look like poo, so its changed to white.

its all about the colour palette and what goes well with what.

Surely the Carlsberg logo needs to be one of the colours of the Carlsberg brand?

with our new American owners we really should be pushing a deal with Coca Cola.

the logo looks nice, they are a massive brand, its not alchohol so we can enter the muslim market, and the colours fit perfectly with out club.

                its a perfect match.

Generic looking design - very disappointed with adidas kit designs this summer. Probably end up buying the shirt though.

Cannot complain about the training gear though. Adidas make the best.

                            Lovely stuff.
I like the strips to be all the same colour, when i see the black shorts and the white and red top, dare I say it, it kinda reminds me of Uniteds kit
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

What?? Ye have to be messin' baz!!

The White shirt with Red trim and Black shorts is a classic LFC away kit!! How can it remind ye of them!! Granted the scum did have a similar away kit once in the 70's but it's deffo known as one of our away kits. It's actually my personal prefered LFC away coloured kit. Although I do like the yellow one too.

                              Mine is ordered

I think Coca Cola's strategy is not tie themselves to particular clubs, at least in Europe (I've got a feeling I've seen their name on a Brazilian or Argentinian club shirt). They seem to prefer to ally themselves to the sport as a whole, particularly adopting the fans' perspective ("live football, eat football," etc.). That may change but it's served them pretty well so far and there is a real downside in allying yourself with particular clubs for global brands that aim to be inclusive in their targeting.

In other words, it may not be feasible to pursue Coca Cola. I'm sure however that the Americans will be very clued up on the potential value of shirt sponsorship deals and will get rid of Carlsberg if it makes financial sense.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
