Nah mate. You could only slightly call him that based on his record in the Eredivisie

Yeah Bellers did run his arse off quite frequently too, but a lot of the time he went down blind alleys or made headless chicken runs - Kuyt's were a lot more efficient.

Go on mate, you still haven't told me exactly why you think Bellamy had a better season overall?

All in all he's done very well IMHO.

His first season without doubt mate has been a success. The question though (that i was posing at least) was our expectations of him and what if a player like Tevez did come in. Surely they wouldn't be played together up front?

Dirk has potential, give him a pacey strike partner and he could be our top scorer. Rafa hasn't played him outright upfront really this season, he tends to support the striker, he does this brilliantly and I like it, but for him to score goals he obviously needs pushing forward and needs to be told that he has to score goals to keep his place.

Can you imagine having Kuyt & Tevez in the 'hole' with Eto' as the target man?

I may drool. But the target man is key. We need one.

Although I think maybe you've slightly misused it there, given that it can indicate a lack of 'imagination' and/or 'spirit', which I don't think you could ever acuse Dirk of

                    LOL

Prosaic as in straightforward, pragmatic, as opposed to flamboyant!

Id play Kuyt up with Eto'o and Tevez behind.

but if i was to go for my front 2 it would be Eto'o and Torres.

I think Eto'o would love it at Liverpool, he would be the superstar in the team and no Ronnie or Messi about. He'd love been the main man and would play week in week out. Withe Torres as ive said he is very underated on here, he's class and would get better in a top club

I would slightly swap with an Eto' and Tevez front 2. Kuyt is the work horse who can link the strikers, chase down the defense. I also reckon Tevez has more goals in him and he would score a dozen more if he wasn't trying to keep a team up from relegation all on his own!

As you say, Eto' would love being the big fish in our 'small' New Anfield pond. Keeping him happy would be the only potential problem. I'm sure teh scousers could see teh that?

I expected more and think he has limitations BUT I think he'd have scored 5-10 more if he and Crouch had started together on a more regular basis.

Kuyt will score more goals if he plays up top instead of in this silly attacking midfielder role.

The one and only true AMC we have is Stevie though. Maybe Lucas as well now but this is why i started the thread. What is Dirky's role for next season if we bring in new faces?

He must be ****tin' bricks but i'd say 90% he will be staying.
