It was already stated around Anfield that Hamill had the talent before he went out on loan. The problem was that when ever he played he was always playing for himself. It wasn't that he was a ******, it was just that he was always trying to do some magic to impress the on watching gaffers.

Hamill was told this before he went out on loan and he has been at pains to say this year that this is the main thing he has learned, to play for the team and not for himself. I see the pars manager has also said he has noticed a difference in attitude.

There is no doubt that had Hamill been at the level he is now last year he would have got a chance. But with Leto coming in, Kewell reluctant to leave and this new superstar coming in I would say it looks likely he will be sent on loan.

And for those who haven't seen Hamill play this year he has been nothing short of sensational according to the manager, players and fans of the club. I'm sure those who were interested will have seen the same things!

However, it's not all that difficult to stand out in a team that got relegated! (According to some )
    Forwards.......

He's about 2 seasons off being ready for us - if he continues his progression at the standard he's performing at then maybe in 2 seasons time.

So what should we do with him in the mean time? Out to an EPL team? Championship? CC and FA Cup?

I have saw him play alot this season, has helped a poor pars side. Has looked very skilful and able to beat his man, not always had an end product but was there best player i would say.

Is not ready to even be on our bench yet, i think if he went on loan to maybe watford in the championship or a smaller side then he would get more experience.

It's getting to the point where no scousers will make it through to the first team.

Lets face it, there will always be better youngsters to buy and replace them somewhere in the world. It's like turning up at your local team and them saying "Sorry fella, you look good and all and may make it elsewhere, but we've got this lad from Honduras coming over and he's slightly better than ya son"

People say the best will always make it through, but I'm beginning to wonder. Carra certainly wouldn't have made it these days, and that's buy his own admission. Yet I wouldn't swap him for anyone. When will all reserves ever be good enough if all we ever do is buy far better players? When will our reserves ever get a chance if players like Kewell and Aurelio are back up?

I'll tell you when, ****ing carling cup! Our reserves got to the semis not so long back, did they get a chance after that? Did they ****. They all got dropped allowing our senior players to lose in the final to the chavs.

Then we win the FA youth cup twice on the trot, has anyone had a chance? Nope. It just suprises me that the reserves can make the semis of a senior competition, win the best youth trophy going twice in a row, and not one player is ready to step up yet!

Okay so I'm being well over the top here, after all the youth cup teams could yet produce some quality, but I just felt like a moan

I reckon a season at a championship club would be best for him. How many prem teams do you see taking untried 19 year olds on loan and giving them a run in the first team? Not many.

Only one I can think of was Kieran Richardson, but he must have been 21/22 when he went to west brom. Alex Song got a few games for charlton last season, but they were gone and desperate by that point.

Get him out to someone like Preston, a chance of challenging for promotion and experiencing high pressure games and a local-ish club close enough to have an eye kept on him.

                            Well said.

I think dunfirmline only scored in something like 14 games this season. If i played for them i'd be their best player.

From what I've seen of the youth team, their success has been based mainly on being a solid, well organised unit rather than individual talent (although Ray Putterill and Lindfield stand out ability wise). Mainly big hard lads with good work rates and who follow tactical instructions.
