That is because the players pay higher taxes in Canada so the teams will need to pay higher wages and can't sign as many star players as the American teams can do. That makes a huge difference and it's a big reason to why it's very difficult for a Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup.

They have a wage cap in the NHL as I mentioned before so you can't spend million after million on wages for star player after star player.

How do you know they "SUPPOSED" to be brilliant ?
You go by what you read in the papers and then form an opinion, then come on here and spout ****e as you have been doing for years on other sites.
If you know business and judging by your posts you probably know fook all, no big deal as the LFC should be rushed. No big deal in any business should be pushed as DIC pushed LFC.

Why, they planned to sell us after 7 years, they were only about BIG profits - the leaked report showed that, they were never going to invest big in the team (profit based company and all) and they would never have started a review of the new stadium giving us the possibility of a much better one.

That's a bit naive, mate. DIC are exactly what their name suggests - an Investment Capital company. These type of companies go into ALL deals with an exit strategy in place, i.e. they know / have planned their route (timing) out before they go in. It's sensible financial management. I'm sure the companies that G & H have been talking too / raised capital from will have had similar documents in place.

It's a real shame.

I actually used to feel sorry for him when he used to get absolutely savaged on TLW. Some of the abuse he used to get was ridiculous but it just goes to show how disliked he was/is. I hope that doesn't happen on here but that's all down to him.

But surely you don't believe everything to come out of Parry's mouth? He was under pressure to bring in investors so of course he was going to say how brilliant they were. We have absolutely no idea how DIC would have been as owners. None whatsoever. And we have absolutely no idea how the Yanks are going to be either. We need to be patient and stop panicing like f*cking 2 year olds.
