Rafa's clearly said that a centre forward isn't a priority for him. He will strengthen BOTH wings first, then he'll see what's left in order to pounce or not for a top class centre forward.

Its not just when Bascombe does it. If some paper says we are about to sign Eto, Henry, Tevez etc etc people start to orgasm. When somebody says Benitez is pissed off then its lazy journalism. People believe what they want to believe and unfortuantely when you look around there are lots of people who should be shouting "It's the plane it's the plane" (reference for older viewers!!)

Bascombe knows that what he's saying gets noticed by the fans and the club, and he always does it as a thinly veiled dig at the club, that's his style and always has been.

He probably knows more than most than those lazy journos populating The Mirror, The Times and other papers out there.
