With all this talk about how well the board will back us this year, I want to know what you guys are thinking (not that it matters )

From reprts in papers, such as the Echo, do you think we haven't got enough money as expected and that the American duo aren't the real deal, or do you think that this is all a 'smokescreen' so other clubs think that we haven't got that much money and therefore don't try and sell there players to us for silly money.

I'm not sure, but what i do know is that we are not going to be like Chelsea. We will be run like all the successful clubs, where are money will come from the new stadium, like Arsenal and Utd, and to a lesser extent Newcastle (although the barcodes aren't really successul) and from merchandising in the USA and Japan etc. This will then put is in good stead no matter what happens as we will generate most of our money form the stadium etc.

It depends if you are permanently miserable when it comes to Liverpool. There are the half empty and half full brigade. However there are the 'glass broken and cut their wrists with the pieces' group as well. For them even if we signed the best players on the planet they'd still moan.

The thing that i have noticed is how excited the players are. Stevie G is a brilliant player but isn't exactly going to win an oscar for acting is he (unless there is a penalty to be won), and i've seen it in a few of his recent interviews that he always says there are exciting timeas ahead for Liverpool Football Club. He wouldn't just be pretending that there are good times ahead would he?

What worried me was watching Hicks on ITV the night before the CL final. he was asked if he would back Rafa in transfers. He replied that if there was a player that he had been recommended by Rafa then he would. When asked "at any cost" he had a pertinent moment of hesitation. You could see he wanted to say like **** at any cost, but then realised he was on TV and spluttered a quiet yes.

thing is he seemed almost forced into saying it. A bit later on they badgered him about SG and Carra's contracts and would these be at any cost. This time he managed to splutter about it being within reason.
