The stats are misleading, no source or anything.

However, I do think it dispells the myth that our managers are not backed financially.

      Oh I don't know mate.

There are too many undisclosed fees, € to £ conversions, activation clauses and tabloid speculation to figure out the true cost of any player nowadays.

And Rafa has had to build a WHOLE new squad, whereas Slur alex has been augmenting a squad that has been in place for 10+ years.

The question though, is of those players brought in to revamp the majority of the squad (several at quite some expense), how many have been of a higher enough quality to warrant it?

I'm not arguing one side or the other here, i'm genuinely asking the question.

Stats can be viewed in many ways, for example, United have had a very successful squad for 15 odd years, which mean that since 2003 they have only had to buy 16 players while we have had to buy 45 players. Or in other words, United can afford an average spend of over £7m a player, while we can afford an average spend of £2.5m a player.

What i mean is, Rafa got rid of a LOT of players and obviously needed to replace them. He spent a lot of money replacing them, but are the replacements THAT much better than the originals, so as to justify how much it cost to get them?

                        Does that make sense?

Thanks man! It does make sense. I don't think anyone can question, for example, Diao vs. Mascherano. Biscan vs. Xabi etc etc
